Today Hope Revival Organization hosted a coordination meeting organized by a delegation from the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), at its office in Jisr al-Shughour city, west of Idlib.
Within the Safe Spaces for Women and Girls project in Al Hamama and Foz-Zuf areas in Jisr Ash Shugur countryside, the HRO teams implemented the Amal Initiative program, which aims to activate the capacities of adolescent girls in fragile contexts and provide them with reproductive health services, taking into account their healthcare needs and the specific barriers they encounter while accessing such services in health facilities, in addition to raising the community awareness, rectifying the misconceptions towards their issues.
14th November marks World Diabetes Day, where HRO project staff conducted awareness activities targeting older people and their families about diabetes disease, symptoms, and preventive measures. The activities involved a dialogue session, facilitating an exchange of experiences between attendees with diabetes and those without, enabling a sharing of personal histories and the dissemination of valuable advice.
