HRO Peace-building programme aims to work with communities to overcome crises, strengthen resilience, and create new prospects. As such, HRO peace building programme aspires to achieve a transitional development assistance that purpose to help strengthen the resilience of people who are particularly hard hit and of local structures in a sustainable way so that they will be able to deal with existing crises themselves and reduce the risk of new crises. Transitional development assistance thus makes an important contribution to crisis prevention.
HRO aims to realise the Peacebuilding Programme by:
Rebuilding trust through prioritizing the integrated and partnership-based approach, in connection with civil society, community leaders and local and religious authorities.
Enhancing the social cohesion/integration via socio-economic projects with short- and medium-term impact.
Ensuring conflict-sensitive project design as well as monitoring and evaluation.
Strengthening project flexibility to factor in volatile contexts.
Improving the formal and non-formal education system interlinking it with the peacebuilding programme, to construct a culture of tolerance, coexistence, and peace among the younger generations.
